Ultra - Ultra album

Ultra is the debut studio album by English pop band Ultra. Album was produced by Ian Stanley, Released by East West Records (part of the Warner Music Group) in 1999. The album peaked at #37  UK Album Charts and did well other European Countries such as Spain and Italy. They were also popular in South East Asia and Australia. The band also were featured as supported acts for fellow UK boy bands such as Boyzone and 911.

Band Members:
  • James Hearn - Lead Vocals and Piano. James has a deep, UK style voice and he delivered each time in all the songs 100%
  • Michael Harwood - Vocals and Guitar. Michael was brilliant in his Guitar strums with a great classic feel to each rhythm.
  • Nick Keynes - Bass Guitar. Nick's Bass riffs had awesome boom yet it was very simplistic.
  • Jon O'Mahony - Drums and Percussion. Jon's drum beats were absolutely perfect.

In all it was a successful combination and the Album all together was a big success. The music is classic brit-pop, with electronic and classical influence mixed in for good measure. The Lyrics are very powerful, touching, emotional and motivating. The whole package is simply brilliant.

In 2001 the band split and reunited in 2005 to put in another album which was their last.

Band members O'Mahony, Harwood and Keynes set up a music production company called Goldust. They started writing / producing for artists such as Bryan Adams, Kylie Minogue etc.
